No Excuses is a “meeting of the minds” on network and internet marketing trends that will be held April 2012 in Las Vegas. This is the third year it is being put together, and organizers have asked that fans nominate and vote for the leader they want to hear from most.
While initially left of the original ballot, MLM leader Lawrence Tam fans rallied to get him added within the first 24 hours. Past that, Lawrence was able to gain over 1000 “likes”, placing him far above the competition in a very short period of time.
However, the leaders of the summit decided that his fans were over stuffing the ballot box via viral marketing and reset his vote counter. Conspiracy? Perhaps, but Tam’s rise in popularity did gain the attention of many new marketers who had not previously heard of him.

ViSalus BMW Scam? The REAL Truth

Free ViSalus BMW Scam or Not?
If you have been in network marketing for longer than a few months, you have probably heard of the ‘ViSalus BMW Scam.’ But is this a way to cheat promoters or a way of encouraging teams to grow?
Behind the So-Called ViSalus BMW Scam
One of the first things you have to know in order to determine if the ViSalus BMW scam is actually a scam is how the vehicle is obtained by the promoter. According to the ViSalus website, each promoter must first achieve the rank of Regional Director. This requires each person to a) remain active by placing a minimum volume order of $125 per month, b) have three “legs” (i.e. distributors underneath them) that each have a minimum volume order of $125 per month, and c) have a team volume of $12,500 or more. While the latter may seem a bit steep, it is important to keep in mind that team volume includes dollar-for-dollar every product purchase those below you make within a given month. If you have a growing team with a large number of customers AND promoters, this isn’t too hard to accomplish.
Once Regional Director is obtained, the promoter must them help six people obtain the rising star bonus. This just means that each of those six people have three underneath each of them within their first 30 days. (Either placed by you or by them… it does not matter.) They also must have $2K in volume sales for the month.
To recap, the so-called ViSalus BMW Scam Consists Of:
- Being at the Regional Director Rank (3 members below, each with $125 in sales per month)
- Helping six team members reach Rising Star by placing three team members under each of them within their first 30 days (18 people total)
What Happens Once Someone Qualifies for the ViSalus BMW Scam?
Once someone qualifies for the so-called ViSalus BMW Scam, they are then sent a lengthy contract to read over and sign. The contract basically states that one of two things will happen: 1) the promoter will go out and find a BMW that is year 2000 or newer; leased or owned; and silver, black, or green in color OR 2) the promoter will take a cash out option. If the promoter chooses the car, they are responsible for securing their own financing and ViSalus will pay a $600 stipend toward their monthly payment.
What happens if they have no desire to drive a BMW or cannot qualify for financing? This is one of the common misconceptions that makes people think that the ViSalus BMW Scam is actually a scam. The cash out option of $300 is for those who decide the car is not for them. The $300 can then go towards paying off debt, a family vacation, a current car payment, savings, marketing, or whatever the promoter decides to use it for. Sounds great, right? Not at all like a ViSalus BMW Scam… but more like a ViSalus BMW Reward!
One of the other offending practices in the program that often make people call the ViSalus BMW scam is that promoters can lose their stipend if they do not keep up with their requirements. However, let’s look at it this way… any other business, if you quit showing up to work, you would not receive a paycheck. Does that make the ViSalus BMW Scam an actual scam? Absolutely not!
The Verdict on the ViSalus BMW Scam
While it is important to note that every consumer should read the fine print before buying into any sort of reimbursement program, it seems the ViSalus BMW Scam isn’t really a scam. The promoter is able to choose the plan that fits best for them, whether it be driving a new luxury BMW while making the payments via a $600 stipend or the $300 cash out bonus. Either way, the promoter is being recognized for his or her efforts and dedication to furthering the team. In fact, this can be used as a great promotion tool to help teams flourish and grow! This so-called ViSalus BMW Scam has actually led to more sales of the car brand than any dealers in the US!

Big Changes for Landra Lynn Jacobs in 2012

Landra Lynn Jacobs Leaves Advocare; Joins ViSalus; Gains New Website
As January 2012 approached, Landra Lynn Jacobs knew that change was in order for the coming year. That’s why she made the hard decision to leave the mid-range network marketing firm, Advocare, for greener pastures.
“They say that the biggest component to network marketing is finding the right timing for you,” she remarked. “This was just a great time to transition to ViSalus and the opportunity waiting for me there.”
While the exact date of Landra Lynn Jacobs‘ transition is not yet determined, she states is will happen sometime after January 15th. Her termination date with Advocare was effective January 12th.
What Does This Change Mean for Landra Lynn Jacobs’ Teams?
Right now, very little. Landra will still continue to actively promote Avant and the Empower Network, in addition to several other affiliate opportunities.
